Minimum Credits Required: 22
Students must earn at least 22 credits and satisfy the credit requirements for each category below:
English - 4 Credits
- Four years of English coursework
Mathematics - 3 Credits
- Algebra I or Algebra I Conclusion (1 credit)
- Geometry or Informal Geometry (1 credit)
- Additional Math Credit (1 credit)
Science - 3 Credits
- Physical Science (1 credit)
- Biology (1 credit)
- Additional Science Credit (1 credit)
Social Studies - 3 Credits
- World History or AP European/World History (1 credit)
- U.S. History or AP U.S. History (1 credit)
- Government or AP Government (0.5 credit)
- Economics or AP Economics (Macro or Micro) (0.5 credit)
Physical Education - .5 Credits
- Physical Education coursework
Health - .5 Credits
World Language, Fine Arts, or Career & Technical Education - 3 credits
Electives - 5 Credits
- Courses based on student interests and postsecondary goals
State Requirement: Civics Exam
Students must also receive a passing score on the North Dakota Civics Exam to graduate.
