WAYS TO SERVE DETENTION AT SOUTH HIGH SCHOOL

BAM (Bruins Achieving More)
Attend BAM sessions in the morning from 7:50-8:25

• Inform your teacher to email the main office.

OPEN CAMPUS HOURS Detentions
During Open Campus Hours go to room E10 to serve detention.  

• Students must arrive on time and attend the entire class period. 

CLEAN WEEKS
If a student has a clean week (NO tardies or unexcused absences) 10 detention hours can be removed. 

• Prior approval from administration is needed. 
• Students must have served at least 10 hours of detention in person.

SELECT SATURDAY DETENTION
Attend Saturday detention from 9:00AM-12:00PM when offered, for every hour served on a Saturday it counts for 2 detentions. 

• Students must do homework or read a book.
• Students must enter the South doors.  

TALK TO ADMINISTRATION
Students can meet with their Assistant Principal to discuss options. 

*** All Detentions must be served to attend school dances***

*** All Detentions must be served for Seniors to participate in the graduation ceremony***

SENIORS: If you have numerous detention hours but plan to walk at graduation, you MUST meet with your alpha assigned principal ASAP to make plans on serving detention hours prior to the last day of school.
